Internal Club Galas

Brighouse Swimming Club host its own club swimming competitions throughout the year.

These internal galas are spread throughout the year and held at Brighouse Pool and Fitness Centre.

In line with health and safety guidelines we are restricted on spectator numbers at these events.

It is normal to have a full house at every internal competition so it is essential that you complete your forms on time and then you don’t miss out!

Each competition is divided into different events to accommodate all of our swimmers.

Cheers of support from the spectators can always be heard during the internal galas and there are always great prizes to be won in the club raffle.

Swimmers compete in heats and their times are recorded by the time keepers. Officials at the competition desk will collate and order the times, ready for presentation.

The top 4 swimmers from each event, will be announced and the top four swimmers invited to the podium for presentation of medals or ribbons.

Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for positions 1^st, 2^nd& 3^rd and a ribbon for 4^th place.

The success of the swimmers is celebrated in The Brighouse Echo newspaper.

Photographs will be taken by an official from the club and later displayed on the website and TeamApp. Photographs and video recordings are not permitted by spectators in line with club safeguarding policies and safeguarding procedures at Brighouse Leisure Centre.
